This past Fall, Oldvine was commissioned to design florals for a Dia de los Muertos themed wedding ceremony. The nuptials took place the day before Halloween at the Monte De Oro Winery in Temecula Valley.

The ceremony flowers that we selected included Free Spirit roses, because of their peachy orange petals that are reminiscent of Fall leaves, rich Black Dahlias and, lots of Marigolds which are the official flower of Dia de los Muertos.

The centerpiece arrangements mixed orange marigolds and dahlias with light green hydrangea in gilded vases. We selected hydrangea for the centerpieces in order to create the round bountiful look of a Fall gourd on each table.

The bride's flower crown was designed with Free Spirit roses and dahlias with hints of seeded eucalyptus.

And finally, we decorated the wedding cake with vibrant gold marigolds and cream lisianthus to compliment the traditional Dia de los Muertos sugar skulls and yummy themed cupcakes from The Kilted Cake in Temecula, California.
